Limitations: Foil Drive Assist cannot be used on flatwater or smaller prone style boards. We recommend the Assist PLUs for these use cases, also for heavier riders.

Batteries: The Standard 12.6ah Battery is perfect for flatwater foildriving, heavier riders or those wanting longer sessions.
Cable Length: For waterproofing, the cable has been manufactured into the motor, this means cable lengths are not interchangeable.
Low Volume Prone Boards: Although intended for larger, SUP style boards, the Assist PLUS can be used on lower volume foil boards. There is a lot of great content on Youtube from several creators as there are some extra things to consider.

WING DING On low wind days where there's not enough wind or swell, Foil Drive™ provides the power to get on foil. Attach your controller to the boom, or use the included wrist lanyard, then wingding as usual with no worries getting back to shore!
DOWN WIND Motor/paddle that bit further offshore to line up longer runs! With added thrust you can run smaller, faster wings and link sections. If the conditions change, you’ve got added peace of mind knowing you don't have to paddle back to shore.
SUP SURFING Traverse to isolated areas or further out for longer runs, link waves and boost back to the lineup in no time. You'll catch more waves than you can manage, and get out for epic sessions in conditions that are traditionally not worth a look!
Flat water Foil Driving With the correct foil setup for your weight, you can now use the Assist PLUS™ to fly around on flat water! Re-use your existing gear and just fit up the Foil Drive™ for learning, teaching, practice or just cruising around on the flat water!
